Hi, I’m so glad you’re here 🤍
Becoming a parent changes everything.
It’s beautiful, exciting, exhausting, overwhelming… and sometimes it can feel like there’s suddenly a thousand things you’re supposed to know.
Real Mama was created to support you through it all.
A space where you can ask questions, feel listened to and get professional, evidence-based support — always with warmth, honesty and absolutely no judgement.
A little about my journey
My career in maternity began over a decade ago, long before I became a mum myself.
I started my career as a nurse and later trained as a midwife. Since then, I’ve worked alongside women and families throughout pregnancy, birth, postnatal life and those precious — and sometimes challenging — first days with a new baby.
Over the years, I realised that beyond all the clinical knowledge and experience, there was something I cared about most:
helping mums feel confident in themselves.
Because I’ve seen how quickly a parent can go from feeling prepared to feeling completely overwhelmed. And I’ve experienced that feeling myself.
Becoming a mum gave me a completely different perspective.
I know what it feels like to be the professional explaining and supporting… but I also know what it feels like to be the mum on the other side, holding your baby, full of questions and wondering:
“Am I doing this right?”
And so often, the answer is:
Yes. You’re doing better than you think.
Real Mama is about more than one service
Real Mama grew from bringing together my professional experience and my own experience of motherhood.
Today, it’s a space where I can support families in different ways throughout this special chapter of life.
- Birth preparation classes — helping you feel informed, prepared and confident as you approach your birth, whatever your birth ends up looking like.
- Lactation support — as an IBCLC, I support families with breastfeeding and infant feeding in a way that is individual to you, your baby and your goals.
- Baby Salsa — because becoming a parent doesn’t mean losing yourself. A chance to dance with your baby, have fun, move your body and meet other parents who are going through a similar stage of life.
- And baby ear piercing — a gentle, professional service brought to the comfort of your own home. For me, it’s about making what can be a very special little milestone feel calm, personal and well cared for.
Because sometimes, caring is also about the little things.
My approach
I believe you need more than a list of instructions.
You need someone who listens.
Someone who explains the why, not just what you should do.
Someone who understands that every baby, every birth, every feeding journey and every family is different.
My approach is evidence-based and grounded in my professional experience, but I never want it to feel cold or clinical.
I want you to leave our time together feeling heard, reassured and a little more confident in yourself.
Because there is no perfect way to be a parent.
There is your way.
And sometimes, all we need is someone beside us to offer a little reassurance, a different perspective and a reminder that we’re capable of doing this.
My journey so far
- 2011NURSEMy career began in 2011.
- 2017DANCE TEACHERI’ve also been teaching dance since 2017 — a part of my life that eventually inspired Baby Salsa.
- 2020MIDWIFEI qualified as a midwife in 2020 and have since supported families through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.
- 2025IBCLCIn 2025, I became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), specialising in breastfeeding and infant feeding.
Why Real Mama?
Because I don’t want Real Mama to feel like just another service you book.
I want it to feel like you’ve found someone who’s on your side.
Someone you can ask the question you felt silly asking elsewhere.
Someone who celebrates the little wins with you.
Someone who can tell you, “That’s completely normal,” when you need to hear it — and who knows when it’s worth getting a little extra help.
Whether you’re preparing for your baby’s arrival, figuring out feeding, dancing with your little one, thinking about their first earrings, or simply trying to navigate the beautiful chaos of parenthood…
you’re welcome here. 🤍
Welcome to Real Mama
A space for real parents, real babies and real life.
No judgement. No pressure. No impossible expectations.
Just professional support, genuine warmth, a little reassurance and someone in your corner. 🤍
